Where would we best be able to reach you?:e-mail
    Time Zone: eastern
    Your Character's PB:Zooey Dechanel
Previous Experience: None. I've never rped before.
Two Sample RP Links: There are some examples in her memories. Pin is one of my favorites ever and YES, she's been through a few incarnations. However, usually in fantastical settings. I am curious to see how she does in a horror setting.
Where did you hear about us?: The glass unicorn told me.

[IC Application - Please answer these questions as if they were being asked directly to your character!]

What's your name?: Vera Eliza Pinrich
Male, female or other?: Do you get many who answer other? I've never heard of that wedged in there with this particular question. You must be either very enlightened or horribly bigoted.
How old are you?: I prefer "how young are you" or "what is your age". My age is 28.
Are you known by any other name?: Many call me Pin.
Were you born in the United States?: I was. I was born in the sunlight zone? Hmph! You don't get that reference? David Lee Roth and his California Girls video? I prefer the Beach Boys version but...David Lee Roth has the meanest rock star kick around.
Where are you now?: (after being interrupted) I see you are eager to get going with the interview. Well. I am in New Orleans. It's a long story...but I have a feeling you're going to get to that in a moment.
Where were you three years ago?:San Francisco...
What were you up to before the Quarantine?: I knew it! I'll try to be short about this. I have a tendency to ramble on.

I was a social worker in Oakland. Social Work just seemed like the sort of thing I should be doing. I tried on many hats. It bothered my father who...

Oh? You don't know who my father is. He would be Senator Maxwell Pinrich. Republican. Staunch Conservative. I always thought it peculiar that those with money and not much to worry about are the staunchest of conservatives. I suppose it's easy to preach about an imposing government and the woes of government assistance when you don't have to worry about how to pay for the things the government is assisting with.

He always had money. His father was an eye surgeon and had invigorated the technology for precision eye repair. His invention afforded our family many luxuries but...it never really made any of us happy.

    Anyways.

I was tolerated for the most part until I began to voice opinion and I suppose this wouldn’t have been a problem if most of my stances were the same as the families; the same well mannered Pie, bubbling with hot prejudice right under the dough of the well to do uppity society that I had been baked into. Who knows why I never agreed with them. I've always leaned a bit toward nature versus nurture anyhow. I am cherry and they're apple. How I ended up on the same tree is beyond me.

Public Service was a natural fit for me and volunteer work was something I enjoyed immensely. When I started really opening my eyes and seeing things for how they really are I knew I wanted to go into service and help people. So I got a masters in Social Work. I specialized in domestic abuse cases.

I spent most of my time in the office, digging my heels into the flesh of the problems out there. No matter how much I dug I never got to the bottom but at least I was out there...making a difference. That's more than I could say for my father, someone who was in public office. But for him it was never a question of what he could do but what he could get.

It just so happened that I was doing and had been in New Orleans helping with hurricane relief with the Points of Light Institute, of which I served as a board member of, when the infection spread and the Quarantine happened.

What have you been doing since then?: It's been difficult. I can't deny that there are days when I wish I had never volunteered and hadn't ended up so far from home. I also can't deny that I have been exceedingly lucky. I feel guilty about that because I don't think I should be alive. I hardly have the stuff to make it this far but some how I've survived when so many I've known haven't. I just keep searching...searching for some place I have no idea even exists. There has to be someone else out there. Right?
What do you miss most about life before the Quarantine?:I haven't abandoned all hope but it was much easier way back then. I miss Pho noodles. Most of all? I miss my friends.
What don't you miss?:The social political climate. The one good thing about a disaster is how it levels the playing field.

Do you have any physical handicaps?:I don't.
Do you speak languages other than your native tongue?: I speak spanish. I really have to, doing what I do in California. I speak some french. I took classes in boarding school which was me being silly and thinking the language utterly romantic but really? Spain is just as romantic. Seriously. You should go. Oh...well, someday when everything gets back to normal.
Are you alone? If so, why?: I am. Does that mean you aren't coming with me? (looks disappointed). There's no other way to say it. The people I was with didn't make it.
Do you have a talent/skill that will be helpful to the survival of a group?: I am a great listener. I have a degree in marriage and family counseling. I hope I can inspire trust and confidence. Living this life is not easy and I would be happy to offer this service if wanted.
What are you doing to pull your weight with your group?: Besides being a qualified councelor, I don't have many skills in the making a new world department but I am willing to learn. I'm not much of a chef or a builder but if you show me what to do I will do so with great verve. Give me a toilet brush...give me a scouring pad and point me to the scullery. There is not anything too small that I can do to help.
Have you any previous affiliations?: Do you mean political party?
What is your weapon of choice? Does it have a name?: I do not have a weapon of choice. I am equal oppurtunity for ALL weapons. Funny enough, I was ALL for gun control before this happened. The only thing I can say now? Thank goodness for the NRA and the southerners that proudly carry their card.
Tell us about a notary encounter with one or several of them.:
